My BFF bought us both a tie-dye kit last Christmas/Birthday celebration. She's already tried out hers, and from the second I watched my first video...oh yes I want to do all the things!!
I started by washing and spinning the t-shirt till it was damp.
Get the stuff together
A combination of swirl and scrunch then tie with lots of elastic bands. Video advised turning inside out so that seepage of dye hits the fronts.
Add colour front and back... all done..
And... wait 8 hours, rinse and untie
I love it! Its not as vibrant as I would like but the bottles are very small, the kit is intended for a bandana not a large men's t-shirt.
Then.. to a quick wash. expected a loss of colour but maybe not quite to this level. Ah well... good job I loved the pattern!!
Definitely won't be my only foray into the hobby - I've already bought a bigger kit for another go!! And I also want to try out reverse tie-dye so have been ordering bleach supplies for that job too... oops my BFF created a monster (again LOL)
Sorry, not sorry, you are having fun and whilst I may have done as much as I feel like doing you are having fun!
