BFF RAL - keeping the lights on

This week has been more than a little chaotic for my BFF,  and a little for me too. So a slower pace than the bitty SAL was required in my head at least.  A little embroidery which looks neater from a distance,  thankfully. 

Sometimes we still need the regular rhythm of our session to inject a little 'normal' into the chaos, just keeping the lights of our sanity on.

Yes I sung that to Bringing In The Sheaves... music triggers memory even for hymns I didn't actually sing at church hahaha. 

A bit of work to add more leaves. As my BFF is miles ahead, I shall have dispensation to play catch up off camera.

The itty-bitty nature of the wreath I have been finding difficult this week,  having just recovered from The Lurgy.

But there was at least some progress, as well as time to natter on a variety of things including my change of job.

A special gift

Finally both finished and gifted (although technically for my nephew this Christmasthe familywere visiting this weekend and I wanted to hand it over in person and not worry about mailing i. I've enjoyed this one despite losing my way at times.  It took a couple of goes to design the right solution for the name section,  but I'm quite pleased with the result in the end, its reminiscent of the blocks above without needing to be a direct match.
