BFF SAL 11 - plant theft

I had a plan for this week.. to do something with the part-formed pot on the left.

I spent a lot of time over the week experimenting with alternatives for behind the chair.  Then realised that what I originally liked about this design was the open, airy feel.  And filling in that space would have taken that away.  So out came the planned mirror and picture frame.

But as the giant ?cheese plant? (Not sure) from my original still didn't appeal, I stole the plant from my BFFs pattern and kept it in my own pot.

BFF SAL 11 - hairy heads and feet

At least that's how the socks look to me, like cosy fluffy socks.

Sooo glad to get the hair in though, have removed the top-knot and shortened the hair to look more like my personal style.

And of course the turquoise! This has faded a 

bit so more of the blonde is showing up. But you get the idea... it wouldn't be me without brightly coloured hair.

BFF SAL 11 - tricky times

Well this week I had a plan.. to put in face and add the hair. I had grand plans for personalisation using a blue blending filament, added to the recommended browns for the hair. And I thought I'd found the thread so merrily began. Turns out I own 2 different blue metallic shades, and this was way too dark to represent my turquoise hair in any form. So out it came.

I went on to fill in just a couple of bits and make a start on the pot to the left.

There is much to be tweaked on this design, and I have to admit to less enthusiasm than my BFF for that process. In fact I'm finding that part a little stressful right now. I'm sure I'll love it once I sort the hair out, I have since located the correct thread so will try again next time.
